Attractive check from The City Bank and Trust company filled out by Hall of Famer Al Simmons on February 26 1953. The check is made out to Cash for $100 even and is signed in black fountain pen by Simmons. The check has been canceled and thus is marred by hole punches and rubber stamping on the reverse but the bulk of the signature remains legible and dark. Our consignor provided this to us backed by a small matte and displayed with a Perez-Steele postcard and we have elected to keep it that way since the display value is strong.
