Due to printing on very thin photographic type paper the T222 Fatima Cigarettes cards are extremely susceptible to condition flaws. Wrinkles and tears are common among these cards which are scarce to begin with. In fact more than 25% of the examples graded by PSA have been graded POOR or worse with very few examples grading above EX. Seeing these cards in poor condition is only uncommon in that seeing the cards in any condition is uncommon - surviving examples are usually severely worn. This example depicting John Lapp of the Philadelphia Athletics has been graded FAIR 1.5 by Beckett staining and wear along the right edge along with a paper notch at the bottom being the primary flaws of the card. Overall surface wear more notable on the reverse is also evident along with the requisite wrinkling so common to the issue.
