Desirable cardboard advertising sign featuring Dodgers hero Gil Hodges his Chesterfield cigarettes testimonial stating that "They give you the good pitch - stilck with it!" The sign has been matted and framed to dimensions of 25" x 26" and despite the fact that the frame is modern and not professionally done we have elected to leave the piece inside its frame for protection. Our primary reason is that while the sign presents well and is quite colorful we can detect tears at the top and right edges along with a few creases and surface indentations. Not wanting to risk exaggerating those tears we have elected to keep the piece as is. Aside from the aforementioned areas of wear a visible stain can be detected in the upper-right corner fairly large in size. What we can detect of the edges leads us to believe that there will be significant wear particularly along the top. Despite all this a significant advertising piece for its era featuring one of the most popular players in Dodgers history.
