I have one to sell!
While the consignor of the majority of the autographed cards in this auction was a student of baseball history and a dedicated hobbyist in every sense of the word his true passion was in the Bowman issues of 1951 and 1952. He worked tirelessly at acquiring signed cards from both issues obtaining as many as possible in person and through the mail and supplementing his efforts with purchases from reputable dealers and auction houses in his quest not only to complete both sets but to do it with attractive signatures on clean cards. The result is a number of groups of outstanding cards many of which we have elected to keep together in larger groups simply due to the difficulty in building such a large grouping of high-quality signed cards. Presented here is more than half of a complete 1951 Bowman set including many tough-to-find cards of key stars of the era. A complete listing of the cards included in the collection are as follows: #4; #6 Newcombe; #9; #12; #14 Dark; #15 Pesky; #16; #17; #18; #22; #23; #24 Blackwell; #25 Raschi; #29; #34; #36; #40; #41 Yost; #43; #47; #48; #49; #51; #52; #54; #57; #61; #64; #65 Vernon; #67; #68; #69; #72; #74; #75; #76; #77; #81; #82; #84; #85; #86; #87; #91; #97; #98; #99; #101; #103 Pafko (poor); #105; #106; #107; #108; #109; #110; #111; #113; #115; #118; #119; #120; #121; #123; #124; #125; #126 Thomson; #129; #133; #135; #136; #137; #138; #139; #140; #147; #149; #152; #154; #155; #158; #159; #161; #162; #163; #164; #166; #167; #168; #169; #170; #172; #173; #174; #175; #177 Keller; #178; #179; #182; #184; #185; #188; #190; #192; #193; #194; #195; #196; #200; #202; #203 Law; #204; #206; #209; #210; #211; #213; #215; #219 Woodling; #220; #221; #222; #228; #229; #230; #234; #235; #236; #241; #242; #245; #246; #247; #248; #249; #250; #255; #256; #257 Tebbetts; #260 Erskine; #262; #266; #270; #271; #274; #277; #278; #279; #281; #285; #286; #288; #289; #291 Henrich; #292; #293; #294; #296; #297; #298; #299; #300; #302; #303; #304; #306 Piersall; #312; #313; #316; #317; #320; #321.
