Spectacular signed card of the Splendid Splinter one of three amazing signed cards offered in this auction. This example is an attractive midgrade one graded VG-EX 4 by PSA his signature applied in dark smooth ballpoint. The signature has been graded MINT 9 by PSA carefully applied in Williams' distinctive hand the ink color actually matching the blue printing on the card. As is the case with many 1948 Leaf cards some reverse printing can be seen on the card front which is often discounted during the grading process due to how frequently this flaw appears with the issue. It is the beauty of the signature as applied on the card and the overall mild wear that gives the card its appeal - one of seven to appear on PSA's population report we cannot imagine many finer examples exist.
