Lot Description  

Spectacular full PROOF ticket to see the New York Giants at the Polo Grounds on May 28 1951. On that day the Giants met the Braves and young Willie Mays accounted for the Giants' only run. It was of course the first of 660 lifetime home runs to be hit by Mays over the course of his legendary career. PSA has evaluated this ticket - the only proof from this game they have assessed - and given it a grade of EX 5. It presents outtandingly well with lightly-worn corners but very little other visible wear. If only it were the actual thing!
