Bright midgrade example of the most coveted card from the 1954 Topps set the first-year card of HOFer Hank Aaron. The EX 5 grade likely was assigned due to a L-R centering issue as the image quality and overall wear might suggest a higher grade at first glance. The centering on the 1954 Topps cards is a notorious issue since the colored backgrounds are very wide and extend to the top edge of the card rendering centering more noticeable with this issue than many others. In the case of this card however the visual appeal is excellent an outstanding specimen of a very popular card.
