Large and attractive Michigan State Wolverine yearbook from 1947 featuring a young Robin Roberts beginning his journey as a ballplayer. 1948 would Roberts' first season in the majors where he would post a record of 7-9 with a 3.19 ERA. Beginning in 1950 Roberts would run off a strong of six consecutive 20-win seasons during each of which he would pitch more than 300 innings. Ultimately Roberts would win 286 games in his career with a 3.41 lifetime ERA. The yearbook is in excellent condition the cover exhibiting little wear and some very minor age-related toning visible on the inside cover and pages. An excellent pickup for a collector of Hall of Fame yearbooks.
