Exceptional postcard issued in conjunction with the 1909 World Series between the Pirates and the Detroit Tigers the W. W. Smith company produced individual illustrated postcards of Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb along with a third postcard depicting both. Exceptionally rare SGC has graded just five examples of the Wagner all at the low end of the grading scale. This example has been postally used in the spring of 1910 the image of Wagner virtually undisturbed despite the writing on the front of he card along with an errant postal cancellation. Still strong visual appeal on a seldom-seen postcard of Honus Wagner.
