Stunning full ticket SAMPLE to Ebbets Field for the opening day of the 1939 Brooklyn Dodgers baseball season. This beautiful die cut ticket admitted one fan to the upper stand section 29 on Tuesday April 18 1939. The Dodgers of course were demolished by the New York Giants that day 7-3 behind the pitching of Harry Gumbert. The ticket is simply tremendous a beautiful due-cut piece that could double as a fan printed on thick cardboard. It remains in outstanding condition though there is a crease at the fold where the handle of the fan meets the baseball. PLEASE NOTE: Our original auction description failed to note that this ticket is a SAMPLE ticket not an actual ticket. It is clearly marked "SAMPLE" on the reverse with "VOID" cancellations on the top and bottom of the ticket. Should any bidders who have placed bids before March 11 on this item choose to cancel their bids due to the oversight please email us at [email protected] by March 12 at 12:00 AM and we will cancel the bid.
