Interesting pre-rookie team photo issued by the Columbus Red Birds of the American Association. The photo issued to promote "Radio Appreciation Day " featured a number of future major leaguers most notably Enos Slaughter (pictured front row second from right). The photo is clearly in poor condition well-worn with significant creases and tears. However for the collector of pre-rookie items of Hall of Famers there are few better pieces related to Enos Slaughter than this a minor league image distributed by his team the year before his major league debut.
