Of all the scarce varieties of T206 all the errors and back varieties the team variations and difficult poses perhaps no scarcity is more scarce than the condition scarcity. With the T206 set recently surpassing its 100th anniversary high-grade copies are particularly scarce: as an example just 1.5% of the nearly 82 000 T206 cards graded by SGC to date have graded at the NMT level or above.This is one of them; a beautiful example of then-Toronto pitcher Jim McGinley. McGinley had a brief Major League career with 4 appearances with the Cardinals in 1904 and 05 but was nevertheless immortalized in the T206 set for his work with the minor league Toronto Maple Leafs. This is an extraordinarily high-grade example with sharp corners and strong centering vivid color and a clean back.
