Of all the scarce varieties of T206 all the errors and back varieties the team variations and difficult poses perhaps no scarcity is more scarce than the condition scarcity. With the T206 set recently surpassing its 100th anniversary high-grade copies are particularly scarce: as an example just 1.5% of the nearly 82 000 T206 cards graded by SGC to date have graded at the NMT level or above. This card of Toronto pitcher Dick Rudolph is a strong NMT card is the highest-graded Dick Rudolph T206 card available. Of all the T206 Dick Rudolph cards with a Piedmont back none have graded higher than this one. In fact in reviewing PSA"s population report for all the different possible backs only one example - one with a Sweet Caporal back - has graded above a 7 (a PSA 8 Rudolph). No example of a T206 Dick Rudolph with a Piedmont back has ever graded higher than NMT. Only one example of a T206 Rudolph with any back has graded higher than NMT. This is an extraordinarily scarce and beautiful example of the most popular and widely collected prewar set ever manufactured.Population data:SGC Population: 140 total graded 2 at this level none higherPSA Population: 94 total graded 4 at this level none higher*NOTE that while SGC has been identifying graded T206 cards by their back variety since the beginning this is a relatively new practice on the part of PSA. Additional examination of the Rudolph cards identified in PSA"s pop reports as "unknown back" indicate another 99 copies graded with 4 at this level and none higher.
