Tremendous pendant measuring just two inches in length awarded to C. H. Roecker for "Superior Batting" in 1888. CH Roecker was Clifford Roecker who played two seasons in the minors - 1884 with Harrisburg of the Eastern League and 1887 with Hastings of the Western League and Shamokin of the Central Pennsylvania League. Roecker was one of the top infielders in Pennsylvania in his day before eventually becoming a letter carrier. The pendant is in outstanding condition "B.B.B.C." (for Brandywine Base Ball Club the team with which Roecker played) engraved into the top of the pendant a baseball and baseball diamond dangling underneath the banner. Engraved on the reverse reads "Awarded to C.H. Roecker for Superior Batting 1888". The pendant is in fantastic condition almost as new with some very slight spots of wear and discoloration mentioned here solely for the purpose of accuracy. A fantastic piece of memorabilia documenting the rich history of amateur baseball in Pennsylvania.
