Beautiful PF Flyers-branded display piece advertising "Big League Stars On TV " an instructional television program featuring Ted Williams and ostensibly famed sportscaster Russ Hodges who delivered the infamous "Giants win the pennant!" call of Bobby Thomson's 1951 home run. The dominant graphic is an illustration of a famous image of Ted Williams though his name is not mentioned anywhere on the display. Measuring approximately 15 1/2" x 25" the piece is actually comprised of two pieces of heavy board which were likely folded for shipping purposes. Since the piece has been dry mounted with cellophane wrapping to a piece of cardboard we are unable to determine if the two pieces are separate nor can we evaluate the condition of the reverse. However the front of the piece itself does exhibit wear with scuffing along the left side as well as some edge wear that is most notable along the right edge. Regardless of any condition issues a wonderful display piece featuring two of the most famous names in 1950s baseball as well as the first brand of sneakers billed exclusively as athletic shoes.
