Attractive 1924 photo measuring 9 1/2 x 14" titled "Boxing Fraternity Los Angeles Santa Fe Station To See Off Commissioner Seth W. Strelinger." This was a group gathered to send off the Los Angeles boxing contingent heading to the 1924 Olympics including state athletic commissioner Strelinger. Included in the group most of whom are identified in period ink on the photo are the former baseball great Chief Meyers a Cahuilla Indian who was part of the State athletic commission and Hall of Famers Fidel La Barba and Jackie Fields. A beautiful photo featuring several Hall of Fame boxers and a baseball great.
