Spectacular Heubach statue approximately 14" in height wearing a pillbox hat about to throw a pitch. Heubach figurines manufactured in Germany between 1843 and 1925 are highly collectible among modern antique collectors. The baseball statue which is found in both 9 1/2" and 14" versions is also highly coveted among baseball collectors but is rarely found in condition as fine as this. Presenting in outstanding condition the statue's detail is astonishing and its lack of age-related wear or damage is difficult to believe. A wonderful piece unblemished by time.
