Complete 1953 Bowman Black & White set the companion to one of the hobby's most popular and enduring postwar vintage issues: the full-color set from the same season. The 1953 set is smaller and does not boast the star power of the full-color issue and for some reason seems more difficult to find in high-grade with strong centering. The presented set is a collector-grade example with all the cards very presentable for the assigned grade nevertheless creases fading and toning centering edge and corner wear and back issues are all prevalent. A condition breakdown is 8% EX; 34% VG/EX; 42% VG; and 16% G/F/P. Of the key cards #15 Mize #28 Wilhelm and #39 Stengel all grade VG/EX with #27 Lemon and #46 Harris grading GOOD. 64 cards total.
