Beautiful postcard featuring a team photo and individual inset images of the New York Giants. Though the writing on the reverse indicates that the card was written and mailed late in the 1913 season (when the Giants beat Chicago in 13 innings - not 14 as written on the card) the 1913 Giants team photos we have seen include Jim Thorpe which this does not. The team photo set at the bottom of the card is accompanied by images of manager John McGraw (HOF) Red Murray Art Wilson and Christy Mathewson with the images of each player inset over a photo of the Polo Grounds. The Mathewson photo is similar to the pose used in his infamous 1914 Cracker Jack card. The grade of FAIR 20 is due to the aforementioned writing and postal use along with wear at the edges and corners. Still quite an interesting postcard.
