Among the most rare of all the mid-1950s regional hot dog issues the 1953 Hunter's Wieners cards were issued in two-card panels with each package of Hunter Hot Dogs. Featuring members of the St. Louis Cardinals the cards are typically found cut into single cards today however they are even rare in that configuration. Additionally the cards are typically found in very poor condition due to their method of distribution - stains are common as is regular wear (in addition to the aforementioned cutting). Presented here is a particularly high-grade complete panel featuring Cardinals manager Eddie Stanky and infielder Ray Jablonski two fan favorites. The card is bright and bold the images clear. The edges and corners exhibit very little wear primarily restricted to minor chipping and softening at the corners. A slight diagonal indentation on the card is likely a result of the manufacturing and packaging process. A rare regional issue featuring two minor stars and fan favorites.
