Fantastic 8x10" photo from the archive of the Sporting News depicting Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg at home plate receiving an award (perhaps the "Forgotten Man" award as indicated on the photo reverse). Greenberg missed most of the season with a wrist injury obtained in April and did not play the remainder of the year. The photo itself displays well with some surface abrasions related to age and obvious trimming around the borders. Still a gorgeous Type I photo depicting one of the game's greats in his prime.
