Here is an excellent assortment of attractive T206 cards with difficult backs a perfect "starter set" for someone seeking to join the addictive hobby of T206 back collecting. This lot contains five cards including one tough Southern Leaguer each professionally graded by PSA or SGC.The five cards contained in the lot include Joe Lake (St. Louis with ball variation Polar Bear back graded VG 3 by PSA) Topsy Hartsel (El Principe De Gales back graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA) John Frill (Old Mill black back graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA) Rube Geyer (Tolstoi back graded VG/EX 50 by SGC) and Ernie Howard (Old Mill black Southern Leaguer back graded GOOD 30 by SGC). The excellent website T206Resource.com has ranked T206 backs in order of scarcity. We highly recommend that anyone interested in investigating T206 back collecting review the wealth of information contained on that site but for the purposes of convenience we have listed the backs represented in this lot in orderof relative scarcity.Polar Bear: #28 of 37* Old Mill (black): #29 of 37 Old Mill (black Southern Leagues): #23 of 37 El Principe De Gales: #18 of 37 Tolstoi: #16 of 37*Note that T206Resource actually ranks 39 "T206" back varieties as opposed to 37 because they have included the T215-1 and T213-1 sets in their ranking for those collectors that feel that those two sets should be considered part of the T206 set. However the collectors at T206Resource do not feel those two back varieties are part of the T206 set and for the record neither do we.
