Cy Young is one of the most famous names in all of sports. With 511 career victories Young was a dominant right hander who despite pitching his last game more than 100 years ago still holds the major league records for most wins complete games starts and innings pitched (along with most losses). Needless to say his baseball cards remain in high demand among collectors and this T206 "Bare Hand Shows" variety is no exception. This particular card has no glaring flaws instead exhibiting natural handling that comes with a card of this age. While the card"s image is clear and the color vivid corners are rounded with an upper-left corner crease. Centering is exceptional and the back is clean with very small and minor spots of discoloration that may have been the result of scrapbook glue.Due to the variety of poses of Young available in the T206 issue coupled with PSA"s only recently categorizing T206 cards according to back variety it is difficult to quantify the total population of Young "bare hand" cards that have been graded. Suffice to say that this is a solid mid-grade example of a very desirable prewar Hall of Famer.
