Incorrectly identified in our catalog as a 1938 Broadside this newsprint advertisement actually appeared in 1937 to advertise a doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Measuring 8" x 18" and affixed with cellophane wrap to a cardboard backing the broadside depicts Mickey Owen and Johnny Mize and advertises a weekend of games including "Ladies' Day" on Saturday August 14. St. Louis lost both ends of the twinbill 8-4 in the first game and 4-0 in the second also losing on Ladies' Day by a 6-5 margin. Displays in VG/EX condition with "1938" written in pencil at the lower right.
