Nice example of a popular Hall of Famer from a desirable and scarce postcard issue. This Max Stein Postcard was one of a small number of baseball-related cards produced by the Max Stein company a Chicago-based postcard manufacturer. Boasting strong overall eye appeal with general wear along with pinholes at the corners this remains a strong unused postcard that serves as an excellent representation of the issue.Tinker is pictured here with Cincinnati which would date the postcard to 1913 the only year Tinker spent in that city. After his season with the Reds Tinker jumped to Chicago of the fledgeling Federal League where he spent the 1914 and 15 seasons. He finished his playing career as player/manager with the Cubs in 1916.Population DataSGC Population: 4 total graded 1 at this level 3 higherPSA Population: none graded
