Irish-born ambidextrous pitcher Anthony "Count" Mullane jumped from team to team in the early part of his career always looking for a better contract. In 1886 he settled in with Cincinnati where he would finish his streak of five consecutive 30-win seasons. He finished his career with a 284-220 record then becoming a Chicago police officer.
