I have one to sell!
6 1/4" x 5" 24-page promotional booklet advertising the Miles Medical Company of Elkhart Indiana. The company produced "Dr. Miles' Anti-Pain Pills" and the booklet advertises the variety of health benefits of taking the pills complete with multiple testimonials from a variety of people. Among these people is Red Sox catcher Lou Criger who had multiple health issues later in his life. Criger is picturedin the back page of the pamphlet. The back page resembles some sort of advertising premium and has often been sold as some sort of rare premium issue. The rarity here is not the back page but the entire booklet which is seen far less frequently. We believe this is the only booklet advertising the pain pills and that there's not a set of booklets with other athletes or celebrities on the back cover; Criger is the only recognizable name within the inside pages leading us to believe this is likely the only version of this pamphlet produced. The condition is good well-worn with some holes at the spine and minor soiling throughout. Still a curiously interesting display piece clearly produced before any American regulation of the pharmaceutical industry.
