Attractive complete run of sets from the Texas Find five complete sets between 1973 and 1977. Each of the sets were carefully mounted in photo corners and then affixed to their photo album pages. Charlie Young up until 1977 maintained a uniform collection each Topps set between 1953 and 1977 mounted in a similar photo album. We have elected to sell these five sets together due to value. The sets are described as follows: 1) 1973 Topps: 660-card set very attractive and sharp but suffering primarily from the horrific Topps quality control which seemed to be at its absolute worst in 1973 and 1974. Centering is an issue throughout; otherwise NM-MT and NM cards impacted negatively by the centering. While some have corner touches or small dings and flips from mounting in the photo corners most were inserted quite carefully. Key cards would grade out as follows: #50 Clemente (EX-MT miscut reverse) #100 Aaron (EX) #142 Munson (EX) #174 Gossage (EX/MT) #220 Ryan (EX far off center) #305 Mays (NM) #350 Seaver (EX-MT) #615 Schmidt (EX). 2) 1974 Topps: 660-card set clean and bright very similar to the 1973 set in that corners and edges look sharp but centering and print defects are many. While we will say that this set is more attractive than many 1974 sets we've seen based on the quality control Topps employed this year that doesn't say much. Card #20 Ryan grades EX due to rough cuts that soften the left corners #283 of Schmidt grades EX due to a prominent fisheye in the upper-left border card #340 of Munson grades EX-MT due to a similar fisheye card #456 of Winfield is well-centered and attractive grading EX-MT due to softer corners. 3) 1975 Topps: 660-card set absolutely stunning. We were enamored of this set enough so that we submitted approximately 30 cards to PSA for grading. Keys graded as such: #20 Munson (PSA NM-MT 8) #180 Morgan (PSA EX-MT 6) #230 Hunter (PSA EX 5) #280 Yastrzemski (PSA NM-MT 8) #370 Seaver (PSA NM-MT 8) #450 McCovey (PSA NM-MT 8) #616 Rice ROokie (PSA NM-MT 8) #620 Carter rookie (PSA NM-MT 8). An additional six commons graded NM-MT 8 or better: #54 Soderholm #273 Braun #276 White Sox Team #309 Pirates Team (MINT 9) #305 Colborn #482 McCraw (NM-MT+ 8.5). Five cards: #5 Ryan highlight $#402 Tolan #476 Figueroa #500 Ryan and #660 Aaron were returned for minimum size requirement. The Brett and Yount rookies were both returned for evidence of trimming. The cards are not trimmed and both present NM or better. There are plenty of other cards in this set th
