Group of seven cards from the beautiful Perez-Steele "Great Moments" issue each autographed by its subject. The "Great Moments" set was issued in series with the cards designed to resemble the T3 Turkey Red cabinet card issue of 1910-11 in both design and size. The cards featured a variety of Hall of Famers from all eras and like many of the Perez-Steele issues quickly became a preferred vehicle for autographs. While the set numbered 108 cards just 70 could possibly have been signed (the remaining 38 cards depict players who died prior to the distribution of the set). Collecting a complete autographed set has become a challenge as several players passed shortly after the set was issued limiting the number of possible signed cards. Presented here are seven cards from the set with mixed serial numbers. Subjects include Luis Aparicio Ernie Banks Charles Gehringer Lefty Gomez Carl Hubbell Brooks Robinson and Ted Williams with Williams clearly being the key. All cards are in EX condition with slight corner wear each presenting extremely well.
