As far as Hall of Famers go "Sliding" Billy Hamilton is one of the tougher subjects to obtain in the N172 issue. This example checklisted as card 210-5 in The Photographic Baseball Cards Of Goodwin & Company depicts Hamilton posed as if catching a ball (that is hanging in front of him suspended from the ceiling by a string). Graded GOOD 2 by PSA the card does exhibit some wear but the majority of the issues are on the reverse - a scrapbook-related stain and what appears to be a mark from clear tape. Professional grading of N172s is an odd beast with severe reductions in grade assigned for damage to the blank backs but little attention paid to image fading an issue reducing the technical grade on this card from what could potentially be higher.
