A star in his day Canada's Tip O'Neil was the second person in history to hit for the triple crown doing so in 1887. A member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame an award in his name is still given each season to the best Canadian ballplayer. This rare N175 Gypsy Queen card pictures O'Neil as a member of the 1886 St. Louis Browns one of the better-remembered teams of the 19th Century. Graded EX+ 70 by SGC the card exhibits not only a wonderful image but is in outstanding overall condition with slightly worn corners and only mild age-related soiling on the card front and back. A wonderful example from the highly coveted Gypsy Queen set.
