Unlike the more commonly-seen postcard depicting this event this is a 14" x 11" photo mounted on heavy board featuring Babe Ruth Max Schmeling and 13 other subjects including Billy Taub Tommy Burns Jack McAuliffe American speed skater Irving Jaffee Olympic Gold Medalist Mel Sheppard Olympic medalist Lawson Robertson bodybuilder Bernarr Macfadden Jack Sharkey and boxing historian JJ Johnston. The subjects were photographed at the celebrity dinner which seems to have occurred in the late 1920s or early 1930s. Despite displaying very well the photo which is mounted on heavy board is technically in poor condition with corner clips several heavy creases and mounting holes around the edges. The piece is sealed in a protective plastic sleeve which could easily be removed.
