Complete 16-page issue of the National Police Gazette dating to April 21 1917. The Gazette was a sporting-related tabloid-style magazine promoting "pictures of baseball and other sports" but which often included sensational stories and risque photographs and illustrations. This issue also includes a team photo of the 1917 Cincinnati Reds (including Christy Mathewson) but it is the full-page photo of Giants hopeful Jim Thorpe on page 13 that serves as this edition's key selling point. The publication itself is in GOOD condition replete with edge wear and overall surface wear consistent with the publication's age. The pages while delicate remain intact and the supplement of Thorpe is clean and beautiful with nothing more than some light wear to the photo itself. A very desirable scarce full edition.
