I have one to sell!
Issued by Fleer in 1959 the 80-card Ted Williams set was the first mainstream set to focus solely on a single player; the card fronts illustrate various photographic highlights of the player's career with the backs written as a continuing biography. The issue relains popular today due to its affordability as well as its subject matter. While the set features the popular Boston outfielder individual cards focus on other figures throughout the Splendid Splinter's career; as a result the set includes cards featuring the likes of Babe Ruth Jimmie Foxx Joe Cronin Eddie Collins and more. Offered is an attractive five-card uncut strip featuring several important cards from the set including the "Ted's Idol" card that features Williams and Babe Ruth together. While the strip would technically grade C-VG due to creasing at the left and right edge as well as corner wear the display value of the piece is outstanding with vivid color and excellent print registration. While 1959 Fleer cards are fairly common sheets and panels are much less so making this a scarce and interesting item.
