Beautiful team composite photo featuring the members of the Binghamton Bingoes champions of the 1913 New York State League. Eighteen oval photos of dapper-looking players and team management in street clothes are arranged against a gray background each photo crisp and bold. The photo contains multiple players who moved on to the major leagues including Jim McGinley (who pitched four games with St. Louis in 1904 and 1905) Frank Barberich (who pitched four games between 1907 and 1910) Harry Hoch (30 career games between Philadelphia and St. Louis between 1908 and 1915) Harry McChesney (88 at bats and a .261 average with the 1904 Cubs) Bill Upham (36 games pitched between the 1915 Brooklyn Tip Tops and the 1918 Boston Braves) Frank Crossin (three seasons as a backup catcher with the St. Louis Browns) and Otis Johnson (209 at bats and a .234 batting average with the 1911 Yankees). Player/Mangager Jack Calhoun also saw 73 plate appearances with the 1902 Cardinals. The photo is in outstanding condition despite a long white abrasion that scratches the surface of the photo almost from top to bottom. The abrasion impacts a few of the photos moderately though nothing that dramatically detracts from the outstanding eye appeal of the piece. Framed to 12" x 14 1/4".
