Outstanding example of the Cincinnati version of Paskert"s Turkey Red cabinet one of two variations caused by Paskert"s 1911 move to the Phillies. One version of Paskert"s card depicts him with Cincinnati the second updated to reflect both Cincinnati and Philadelphia as his team affiliation. This version of the card with the checklist reverse appears virtually perfect with four sharp corners an unblemished surface and straight sharp edges. A very faint bend at the upper-left corner may be responsible for the grade or perhaps the grader was overly harsh on the card"s edge wear but is as sharp a 5 as you"ll find. This is another example of how the traditional grading system can hurt an oversized card like a T3 where one small flaw - so much more visible on a smaller card - is enough to bring a card from an EX/MT+ to an EX in this case with little regard to the card"s amazing eye appeal. On a regular-sized card a full-grade downgrade is only natural when a card exhibits a slight touch of edge wear. On an oversized card like a T3 such flaws are barely visible.Despite this an EX grade on a T3 is an exceptionally high one. Since T3s are susceptible to so many additional flaws due to their large size it is very difficult to obtain even midgrade examples of these cards - indeed more than 31% of all the graded copies have been assessed at the GOOD level or lesser while fewer than 1% have attained a grade of Near Mint or better. This Paskert is an outstanding example likely the nicest EXCELLENT condition Paskert specimen you will find.Population DataPSA Population: 21 total graded 3 at this level 2 higherSGC Population: 2 total graded 0 at this level 0 higher
