Purchased from our inaugural auction by an astute customer who recognized the card"s condition and value this Podres was re-consigned to us for our second auction. Ultra high-grade cards remain tough to obtain even in the plentiful sets of the 1950s and this example of Dodgers hurler Johnny Podres is no exception. While the term "low pop" is definitely relative a MINT copy of a 1959 Topps Podres is still a tough get as 391 submissions to PSA have yielded just 13 MINT copies and none higher.This card is definitely worthy of the grade with sharp corners and the rough-cut edges typical of the period (and a positive indication of a "natural" cut).
