One of the desirable "Brown's Champions" subset Foutz was a key member of the Browns' 1886 team winning 41 games as a pitcher and doubling as an infielder/outfielder with a .280 batting average across 102 total games played. Foutz boasted a career .276 batting average in 13 years of major league play playing multiple positions including pitcher where his lifetime ERA was 2.84 with 147 lifetime victories in 251 games. The card graded GOOD 30 by SGC does exhibit some moderate toning and creasing consistent with the grade. The image is strong for the issue despite some minor fade a problem consistent with N172s and specifically the Brown's Champions cards. Still an excellent example of a highly desirable subset from this popular prewar issue.
