One of just four unnumbered premiums issued by Goudey in 1933 and 34 this heavy cardboard photo of the 1933 American League All-Star team featuring both Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig along with Jimmy Foxx Connie Mack and the remaining members of the first A.L. All-Star squad. Mounted with a cardboard easel on the reverse the 5 1/2" x 8 13/16" cardboard photo has a gold-bordered "frame" around the beautiful black-and-white photo clearly intended to be displayed in a 1933 youngster's room. The eye appeal of this example is particularly strong a single heavy spider crease running up from the bottom of the photo and some ink marking on the "easel." A fantastic document of some of the game's greatest players and an excellent companion piece to a 1933 Goudey set.
