Collector-grade example of Wagner's beautiful E95 Philadelphia Caramel card depicting Wagner at bat. Recently we had the opportunity to examine a game-used Wagner bat with a strikingly similar appearance to the one in this photo - long very gradually tapered barrel with a wide handle. The bat we examined weighed in at an astonishing 54 ounces dwarfing anything used by today's players. Bat aside the card itself is graded GOOD 30 by SGC due largely to staining and soiling visible on the front and back of the card. Well-rounded corners and a minor crease at the bottom right further reduce the card's technical grade. The image of Wagner however is largely unblemished a lovely specimen from this popular set.
