The phrase "High-Grade T209 Contentnea" is simply not a phrase that gets uttered much in our hobby. Between SGC and PSA 1 775 T209s have been graded and just 12 have gaded EX-MT or higher. This example captures pitcher Rube Eldridge of the Greensboro Champs in his first pro season when he would post a 3-1 record in eight games with a 1.90 ERA. Eldridge would continue his success at the lower-level minor leagues pitching as late as 1934 but never playing a single game in the majors. A 19-year minor leaguer Baseball-Reference.com logs a career record of 272-207 with seven 20-win seasons: a borderline Hall of Fame career if the numbers were at the major league level. The card has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA one of just four T209s graded at that level by PSA with none higher. These cards are simply never found in high grade. Slight corner wear and an off-center image fall into the "beggars can't be choosers" category with respect to this card which is simply a special card the likes of which most collectors will not again see.
