The degree to which cabinet photos are so difficult to find in high grade is on full display with this W600 Sporting Life card of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie. Graded POOR 10 by SGC when put side-by-side with other POOR-graded standard-sized cards featured in this auction the grading scale becomes difficult to understand. Still according to the technical definition of a POOR card this example does exhibit those characteristics - several small pinholes foxing and staining along with some chipping along the borders are all clearly visible on the card. Despite all this a POOR condition cabinet card due simply to its size can still be very attractive and desirable as is the case with this example. The image quality is there very worthy of display. The pinholes are slight the edge wear minimal. All in all a very handsome card worthy of inclusion in any serious collection.
