Large collection of "Cowboys and Indians" cards each depicting a different perception of frontier life as depicted on two different sets: The T73 "Indian Life in the 1860s" and the 1909 T53 Hassan Cigarettes Cowboy Series.The T73 "Indian Life" cards (89) include one complete set of 50 plus 39 duplicates. All average F/P condition with several in the VG range and several much worse (including a few of the dupes that have been significantly torn or with pieces missing. These colorful and obscure cards depict "Indian life" as interpreted by the Hassan Cigarettes artists some of the copy on the card reverses along with the images themselves would ruffle more than a few feathers had they been issued today. Still the cards themselves are very interesting and not easy to find.The T53 Cowboy Series (73) includes approximately 43 different with many duplicates. Again these average F/P condition with several in the VG range. Issued between 1909-12 in packages of Hassan Cigarettes this was a 49-card set of cards that depicted "Cowboy life" as interpreted by the artists.An interesting and relatively obscure collection of "cowboys and Indians" cards.
