While a Rufus Nolley was an outstanding minor league pitcher who won between 18 and 21 games each season between 1908 and 1913 the Nolley depicted on this card is clearly pictured with the Montgomery Climbers of the Southern Association. Records do not place Rufus Nolley with this team nor do they place any Nolley with the team. Such is the problem with inadequate statistical records of turn of the century minor league ball particularly when we attempt to put a first and last name together on players from the minor league issues. Still the card itself from the toucher 8th series of T210s is a particularly high-grade example having been assessed at the EX level by SGC. Some chipping at the corners and top edge are common with the issue and are much less prevalent in this example than most.
