Our attempts to identify a player in a Wagner/Clarke real photo postcard elsewhere in this auction has taught us one thing for certain: George Gibson was a very good catcher who excelled at the position with Pittsbugh for 12 seasons of his 14-year career serving as a starter for much of that time. This example of his card from the Philadelphia Caramel "E96" issue has been graded VG-EX 4 by PSA a faint crease in the upper-left corner and a small stain at the bottom-left along with slight edge wear at the top being the primary flaws. While the grade might be generous the card's eye appeal is still very strong.
