Edge wear primarily at the top of the card and most noticeable when looking at the reverse is the condition flaw that plagues this colorful example of Hardy Richardson's 1888 H. D. Smith & Co. die-cut card. Still an outstanding example of a card from an issue that has long evaded collectors due to a lack of awareness of the issue's origin. Known now to have been distributed by the H.D. Smith & Co. gum company we look forward to card historians uncovering more information about the set.
