Lot Description  

Boston outfielder George "Duffy" Lewis had one of the great signatures in all of baseball an explosion of curves and swirls and quotes. This example authenticated by SGC was written in bold green fountain pen and mailed from Boston on June 8 of 1949 directly to the collector from which each of the GPCs featured in this auction originates. A stunning signature.
