Another prolific signer Hall of Famer Johnny Mize was a regular on the autograph circuit through the early 90s. Well before there was an autograph circuit however Mize was a first baseman for the New York Giants during which time he autographed this GPC and sent it to a New England collector. Postmarked Boston Mass on June 29 1948 the Giants defeated the Boston Braves in the first of a three-game series in Boston that day Mize going 2-for-4 with a run scored. This and each of the other postcards featured in this auction are part of an extensive collection assembled by a New England autograph collector who collected for many many years. We are not showing the reverse of these postcards due to a desire not to expose the mailing address however aside from the signs of postal use and some additional light notations all are in excellent condition unless otherwise noted.
