Percy Lesueur was a professional goaltender whose career in the NHA spanned from 1910-16. Competing for several Canadian professional teams, and capturing Stanley Cups in both 1909 and 1911 with the Ottawa Senators, Leseuer is most remembered for inventing the "gauntlet-style" goaltender glove and innovating the net system used in both the NHA and NHL. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961. This 1910 Sweet Caporal Hockey Postcard of Leseur, #16 in the set, exhibits rounding at the corners with visible soiling at the top edge. An obvious crease is also present to the lower-right corner. An attractive example from this nearly impossible set. Graded GOOD 2 by PSA, it remains one of only 10 graded examples across both PSA and SGC's population reports combined.

Please note: our printed catalog displays "RC" in the title indicating rookie card status. This is in-fact considered a second year card for Lesueur, consistent with his C55 issue.
