On April 10, 1962, the Los Angeles Dodgers settled into their new home at Chavez Ravine, just in time to be pummeled by the Cincinnati Reds, 6-3. Johnny Podres pitched 7.1 innings, keeping the Dodgers in a 2-2 game that was a pitcher's duel until Vada Pinson hit a two-out double. The Dodgers elected to intentionally walk the great Frank Robinson, but then Wally Post clubbed a three-run home run to put the game out of reach for Cincinnati. This scorecard from the game appears in very strong condition, but with some age-related discoloration around the edges, wear to the corners and some separation and small tearing at the spine, and one edge tear at the top left. The play-by-play has not been scored, but the lineups were neatly written in pencil, the umpires and attendance written in, and the runs and hits added, inning by inning.
